I was born on January 26, 1961 in the state of Monagas, specifically in a hamlet called Musipán. Son of Felicia Albertina Rodríguez and Canuto Rey Rausseo. My childhood passed between the Molorca neighborhood and the Sierra Maestra neighborhood of Puerto la Cruz.

From a very young age, I worked in different jobs, I was a shoeshine boy, sold hallacas and newspapers; I was a porter at the Nuevo Circo, a taxi driver, a cart pusher in Puerto La Cruz, a truck driver's assistant, and many more, all to help my family. Even with my father, we toured in Ciudad Bolívar, different mines in search of luck. I left for Caracas eight months later.

My mother became ill and I decided to return to the city of Puerto la Cruz to keep her company, I joined other young people from the area and we created a musical group that quickly caused a sensation among the people of Puerto la Cruz. I started to divide my time between work and musical gatherings.

One day I discovered the Theater, and with the guidance of maestro Levi Rossell, a character was born that changed my life forever,
